DCSF consultation seeking views on draft guidance to provide practitioners
across all relevant agencies and the voluntary and community sector
with information about how to implement the duty placed on local authorities
by the Education and Inspections Act 2006 to identify those children
not receiving a suitable education. CLG consultation
Communities in Control: Real People, Real Power – Improving
Local Accountability, covering the implementation of the overview and
scrutiny provisions in the Local Government and Public Involvement in
Health Act 2007. It seeks views on how to develop overview and scrutiny
powers to hold local officers to account and how to facilitate the work
of councillors. CLG consultation on package of proposals that aim to shape the way that
regeneration is carried out in future in England focusing on three
priority outcomes: improved economic performance in deprived areas;
improved rates of work and enterprise in deprived areas; and creating
sustainable places where people want to live and can work, and businesses
want to invest. DfT consultation seeking views on a set of proposed guidelines and principles
covering transport connections to strategically significant developments
and who should fund them. DEFRA consultation on policy options for increasing the use of property-level
measures by householders to reduce the impacts of flooding. It asks stakeholders
for their views on whether offering households a free home flood survey
would be sufficient to drive greater take-up or whether a government
grant to subsidise the costs of the measures themselves would be required. DCLG Delayed Indicators' Consultation providing Local Authorities and
partners the opportunity to comment on the technical definitions of
13 deferred and revised indicators due to for introduction in 2009. DCSF consultation on proposals to give Sure Start Children's Centres
(SSCCs) a specific statutory legal basis, as part of the forthcoming
Education and Skills Bill. The purpose of the proposed legislation
is to establish SSCCs as a legally recognised part of the universal
infrastructure for children's services, so their provision becomes
a long term statutory commitment and part of the established landscape
of early years provision. DEFRA consultation seeking views on the principle of direct elections
of the National Park Authorities and parish council members of the
Broads Authority. NHS Connecting for Health are consulting to help make important decisions
about the ways the NHS can use information it collects about patients.
Such patient data is mainly used to provide care and treatment but
can also have additional uses such as research, auditing the quality
and safety of care, management planning, etc. This consultation is
focusing on additional uses. DCLG consultation document seeking views on a number of issues around
implementing the 1983 Mobile Homes Act on local authority Gypsy and
Traveller sites following implementation of the Housing and Regeneration
Act 2008. DCLG consultation on a number of policy commitments set out in the White
Paper, Communities in control: Real People, real power, and building
on work still in progress from the 2006 White Paper, Strong and Prosperous
Communities. This paper invites views on proposals for revising the
model code of conduct for local authority members, views on the clarification
of the General Principles Order and comments on proposals to introduce
a model code of conduct for local government employees. Department
of Health consultation on proposals for a National Framework for
assessing children and young people’s
continuing care. The Framework is intended to assist Primary Care Trusts
to apply a consistent
and transparent approach to assessing the healthcare needs of children
and young people and to work jointly with local authorities to provide
services in the light of those needs. Welsh Assembly Government consultation seeking views on proposals for
adult community learning that include the introduction of a new approach
to the planning, commissioning and delivery of this area of provision,
together with a more coherent framework for quality development. Welsh Assembly Government consultation concerning the Wales Index of
Multiple Deprivation: Child Index, a measure of concentrations of child
deprivation for small areas in Wales based on seven different deprivation
domains. This is a new measure and the consultation sets out a number
of questions needing feedback on to help focus future development of
this index. DCLG consultation seeking views on an action plan that outlines the use
of digital technology and why digital exclusion is an increasingly
urgent social problem. Ministry of Justice consultation paper seeks evidence and views on
whether the voting age should be lowered to 16. Department
of Health consultation on the review of the No Secrets guidance about
how society learns to empower people - both the public and the
professionals - to identify risk and manage risk and to regard safeguarding
